EEI presents: BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) Erlangen e. V.
With #Forschungsspecial and #Lehrstuhlspecial, we launched a very popular interview series over the last two years that took a look behind the scenes of our department. Now we are launching “EEI presents.” This time, we are visiting the university groups affiliated with our department. We started with „Technik ohne Grenzen“ and then came „High-Voltage Motor Sports„. Now, we proudly present „BEST Erlangen e.V.“ Our interview partner is Ishaan Bhasin, who is currently Vice President Public Relations of Best.
Ishaan, could you tell us a bit about BEST? Who are you and what are you doing exactly?
Ishaan Bhasin: BEST Erlangen e.V. is a student-run, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering technology students through innovation, skill development, and international collaboration. Our mission is to foster an international mindset, promote cultural diversity, and create opportunities for students to reach their full potential. At BEST, we embrace flexibility, friendship, fun, continuous improvement, and open-mindedness, creating a dynamic environment where students grow personally and professionally.
Some of the coolest things we do are pub crawls, weekend trips and company visits.
Have you planned something special for the future?
Ishaan Bhasin: Yes, we planned a „Hackathon“, several „BEST courses“ and an SBEC, which means Siemens x BEST Engineering Competition.
That sounds really cool. Where can people find you and how can they join BEST Erlangen?

Ishaan Bhasin: Our office address is: BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) Erlangen e. V.c/o Geschäftsstelle EEIErlangen, Cauerstraße 7, 91054 Erlangen. And you can reach out to use at: https://www.best.eu.org/ .
Also you can find us every Thursday at our weekly member meeting held at: Seminar room 0.154 (Cauerstraße 7-9, 91058 Erlangen). People can join our group by coming to our members meeting which is held every Thursday. There is no special thing required to join the group, just a motivation and a team spirit. There 4 different types of groups which people could join in BEST i.e: the first one is „Air – Public Relations“, then we have „Water – Human Resources“, then „Fire – IT“ and finally „Earth – Corporate Relations“.
That sounds very exciting. Thank you very much for telling us about BEST, Ishaan!
